Welcome to the Stang Aquatic Center

Located adjacent to Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, we offer open plunge hours, swimming lessons, and water aerobics classes. Private rentals are also available. Our pool includes:

Six-lane lap pool with depths ranging from four feet to six feet.
One diving tank with two diving boards, with depths ranging from seven feet to 13 feet.

Mountain Crest HS Swim Team, Ridgeline HS Swim Team, Cache Valley Marlins Swim Team, and the Cache Valley Water Polo Teams practice at our facility.

Swimming Lessons

General Information

Cost per session: $40.00 per child per session for the first two children, $35 per child per session after the first 2 children. Discount only applies to children within the same family.

Total Time: Spring( 6 lessons, 40 minutes each) & Summer (8 lessons, 30 minutes each)

Class sizes: 4 kids to one teacher. Occasionally 5

Refunds/Cancelations: No refunds will be given after the time of registration. If lessons are canceled due to power outages or mechanical failures refunds will not be given. Make up days will be scheduled IF possible.

*Registration: When lines form we start, it could be before 5:00 p.m. Come early!

Levels

Level 1 : 3x3 Bubbles / Independently float with a flotation device.

Level 2 : Back and Front float for 5 sec. / Kicking with straight legs with a kickboard for 5 yards / Roll over from front to back float.

Level 3 : Kick on their backs for 5 yards / Front streamline for 5 yards / Back float recovery.

Level 4 : Side line kick for half of the pool / Backstroke.

Level 5 : Freestyle / Tread Water for 30 Seconds.

Level 6 : Butterfly - May use flippers / Breaststroke.

Level 7 : Dives / Freestyle Flip Turns.

Level 8 : Develop Stroke Techniques needed for Competitive Swim Team

Times to Register

1. Registration for the session wanted must be open, we will not accept early registrations. No exceptions. If a line is formed before the registration time is open, we can start taking registration a little early. This only happens if a clear line is formed and we can see that waiting till 5:00 would not change the order of registers. Please come early!

2. You can come in during open pool times. Check those here https://sites.google.com/site/stangaquatic/home/pool-hours.

3. You can register during any ongoing lesson session. Check that on the left side of this page.

4. If you come to register and it is not open plunge or a ongoing lesson session there will not be anyone to help you. We rent the pool to swim teams and their staff does not work at SAC and cannot help you.

5. In order to keep class sizes small registration is based on a first come first serve basis. Once we are full, we are full, and can not take additional registrations.

6. Payment is due at the time of registration, no exceptions. We don't do online, or mail in registrations. Registration must be done in person.

7. In the past, our registration has filled quickly. We recommend coming in as soon as possible once registration opens.

8. Once registration is full we open a waiting list. To be put on the waiting list just call the pool at 245 - 7962. All we need is your name, child's name, child's level and a phone number. Payment is not needed for wait-list.

*Family passes are for immediate family only. Family passes are valid for lap swim and open plunge. Please keep in mind that children under 13 years old are not permitted to lap swim.

Veterans swim free of charge.

Church Group Pricing

$2.00 per child; adult leaders are free.

Cache County School District Employee Pricing

Cache County School District employees swim free and are allowed to bring one free guest. This entry is not transferable to other members of your party. Bring your employee ID with you for entry.

*The pool does NOT give out passes for district employees. We require you to bring your employee ID each time you would like to use the pool.

Private Rentals
Limited availability: Public hours, swim practice, and water polo practice times will not be canceled or moved for rentals.

Prices start at $60.00/hour and rise with the amount of people. Private rentals must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance with the pool manager.
